Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CleanHelper (the “App”) handles information when you use its photo organization, cleanup, search, album, and subscription features on iPhone or iPad.
1. Information the App handles
The information handled depends on the features you use and the permissions you grant through iOS.
- Photo library content and details. If you grant photo access, the App can review the photos, videos, albums, dates, filenames, text, and other details made available by iOS. This enables local search, grouping, storage views, and cleanup review.
- Local app data. The App may keep an on-device index, saved collections, review choices, and settings so that features work across sessions. You control the underlying photos and can change photo access in iOS Settings.
- Service and purchase information. When the App connects to its service gateway, it may handle app configuration, app and operating-system version, device and installation identifiers, timestamps, network information, attribution events, request status, and membership or subscription entitlement information. Apple handles payment details for App Store purchases; the App receives the transaction or entitlement information needed to provide the purchased service.
- Diagnostics. If enabled for the App or provided through platform services, crash and performance information may be used to keep the App reliable.
2. Local photo analysis and permissions
Photo indexing and analysis for the App’s photo features run on your device. The App uses the photo-library access you grant to identify items such as duplicates, visually similar photos, screenshots, large videos, dates, subjects, text in images, filenames, and available photo details.
The App does not need to upload your photo library to provide these local indexing and analysis features. Photo access is controlled by iOS. You can grant limited or full access, change that choice later, or revoke it in Settings. Some features may be unavailable when the required permission or local resource is unavailable.
3. How information is used
Information is used to provide the features you request, including:
- showing storage information and organizing photos and albums;
- finding duplicates, similar photos, screenshots, and locally stored videos over 100 MB for your review;
- supporting month-by-month review, undo, and iOS deletion confirmation;
- supporting local search, app collections, selection, and system sharing;
- initializing configuration, recording installation or attribution events, verifying subscription status, and reporting purchase results;
- maintaining security, diagnosing errors, improving reliability, and meeting legal obligations.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers that help operate the gateway, hosting, security, diagnostics, attribution, or customer support functions, and to Apple for App Store billing and subscription services. Providers may process limited technical or entitlement data only for the service they provide.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer. The App’s system sharing feature sends the items you choose to the destination you select through iOS; that destination’s practices then apply.
5. Retention and deletion
Photo indexes, app collections, and review choices are stored on your device until you remove them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App, subject to iOS behavior and backups. Service and entitlement records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, maintain security, or meet legal and accounting requirements.
Deleting a photo through the App follows the iOS confirmation and deletion flow. Deleting an item may not remove copies that are already in Recently Deleted, a backup, a shared destination, or another service.
6. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect service information. No device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so keep your device, Apple account, and backups protected.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children below the age at which consent is required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of that law.
8. Your choices and rights
You can manage photo permissions in iOS Settings, review or delete local App data, manage subscriptions through your Apple account, and choose whether to share content through the system share sheet. Based on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. We will handle valid requests as required by applicable law.
9. Changes and questions
We may update this Policy when the App, service, or legal requirements change. The updated version will show a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated Policy.
